Job Description
The Senior Product Manager, Flex and Installments Products will drive the definition, delivery, and optimization of Visa’s Flex and Installments product portfolio—including Visa Flexible Credential, Visa Installment Credential, Visa Installment Solutions, and future product lines. This role supports both Issuance and Acceptance use cases, ensuring Visa delivers cohesive, scalable, and modernized installment and flexible payment experiences across the ecosystem.
You will shape end‑to‑end product capabilities that serve large issuers, fintechs, acquirers, merchants, processors, and strategic partners. In partnership with cross‑functional teams—including Product Strategy, Solution Enablement, Platform Products, Tokens, Architecture, and Engineering—you will build and scale products that improve checkout experiences, unlock new revenue opportunities, and expand Visa’s position across global markets.
Success in this role requires strong product sense, structured problem-solving, technical fluency, the ability to navigate complexity, and excellent communication skills. You must be able to synthesize business needs across diverse stakeholders, translate them into clear product requirements, and guide technical teams through implementation. This includes reading, understanding, and maintaining technical documentation, API guides, and implementation materials.
This is a global role, requiring the ability to balance regional variations with cohesive global platform priorities.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations Product Ownership & Strategy

Own and deliver enhancements for defined areas within the Flex and Installments suite across both Issuance and Acceptance.

Shape product roadmaps grounded in ecosystem needs, technical feasibility, and measurable business impact.

Synthesize complex problem spaces into actionable product decisions and clear prioritization frameworks.

Integrated Ecosystem Experiences
-
Develop and support end‑to‑end capabilities across the four‑party model, enabling seamless issuer, merchant, and cardholder experiences.

Champion user experience improvements across digital checkout, tokenized experiences, wallets, BNPL flows, and merchant/issuer integrations.

Product Development & Technical Collaboration
-
Author high‑quality requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that effectively guide engineering teams.

Partner closely with Architecture, Engineering, and Token teams to align on solution design, APIs, data models, SLAs, and resilience/security considerations.

Navigate technical trade-offs, manage dependencies, and support estimation practices (e.g., T-shirt sizing).

Maintain and update technical documentation, including implementation guides, integration specs, and partner-facing materials.

Execution & Delivery

Lead product initiatives from concept through launch, managing scope, timelines, and cross-functional alignment.

Balance new feature development with platform quality, scalability, and technical debt considerations.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

Communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

Partner with global regions, client-facing teams, and external partners (issuers, acquirers, processors, fintechs, merchants).

Provide SME support for client discussions, solutioning, and implementation.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

Track product performance, analyze adoption, and drive iterations using qualitative and quantitative insights.

Translate performance trends and market feedback into actionable improvements.
This is a hybrid position. Expectations of 3 days in office Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at a minimum.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including tokenization, checkout flows, BNPL/Installments, network processing, and the four-party model.

Proven ability to translate complex business needs and technical constraints into clear, testable product requirements.

Experience maintaining and improving technical documentation and partner implementation guides.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and product sense, with the ability to break down ambiguous problem spaces.

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is $169,100 to $270,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
