Job Description

Team Summary

The Marketing team in Malaysia will lead and support campaigns and partnerships to grow Visa’s overall brand equity with consumers and businesses. With this goal in mind, we strive to ensure that the brand shows up in a meaningful way at the relevant occasions to bring across this narrative to our partners and customers.

The individual will report to the Head of Marketing, Malaysia and will be part of the Malaysia Country Team as well as part of the SMT (Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand) cluster.

What a Marketing Manager does at Visa:

The person will be involved in building up the overall direction for key marketing initiatives and be responsible for the day-to-day execution with cross-functional teams, clients, vendors as well as partners.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to overall brand health and growth in key business strategic pillars; such as, commercial money movement, core consumer payment flows, etc, through Visa-led campaigns as well as key sponsorship and partnership assets.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Account leads to drive growth of the respective key accounts through the support of Marketing Value Added Services (VAS); i.e. understanding the priorities of our businesses, identifying growth opportunities, pitching and executing relevant marketing campaigns to achieve our common goals.
  • End-to-end campaign management for campaigns/ projects; which means budget optimization, creative development in compliance with branding guidelines (Visa’s & partners’, where applicable), media planning, implementation and optimization in accordance with objectives and KPIs, tracking and measuring performance and providing insightful actionable reporting.
  • Oversee all administrative deliverables, including but not limited to project pipeline management, revenue tracking, marketing approvals, procurement processes, contract management and VIK process management in full compliance with Visa’s policy and process.
  • Day-to-day management and liaison with agencies, partners and internal stakeholders to implement and manage above initiatives as well as brand related marketing activities

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in B2B/B2B2C Marketing (agency or client), with proven record of driving business impact through client/partner marketing, preferred in finance/payment industry, FMCG, Telecommunications, digital agency or applicable industry
  • Bachelors’ or business/marketing or related field with marketing foundation
  • Experience in building and leveraging sponsorship assets and merchant partnership to elevate brand equity with substantiated business outcome will be an advantage
  • Ability to plan and execute brand and tactical marketing campaigns from start to end, i.e. strategy, creative development, media planning and execution
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed organization and experience in managing a global brand
  • Interact and manage client stakeholders; including prospecting, pitching, scoping, implementing marketing campaigns as well as overall client relationship management
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills; ability to create visually clear, concise, and insightful work and comfortable presenting to clients and senior leaders
  • Team-oriented and collaborative, driven and resourceful, innovative and curious, positive and proactive – always looking for ways to do things better
  • Open communication between partners and vendors to ensure that work is executed and implemented accurately.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and quick to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive thinking and desire to take risks to test and learn
