Team Summary
The Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) team is a world-class commercial organization experiencing tremendous growth as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our core card solutions. This is an incredibly exciting time to join our team as we expand. Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the world. Our global Financial Institution clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Companies, Large Corporate Enterprises, Multinational Organizations, and Governments. We work closely with Issuers, Merchants, Fin Techs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services. We believe that the market is at an inflection point wherein Visa can play a larger role in building and delivering solutions around the world.
Within VCS, the Global Product Commercialization team supports the Global Platform, Product and Solution owners moving new products, features, and functionality through the MVP/pilot phase to general availability and continuous lifecycle management. Specifically, the team develops frameworks, processes, project plans, and tollgates, as well as collaborating with product owners to create compelling documentation and sales enablement materials.
What a Senior Sales Manager, Visa Commercial Solutions does at Visa:
- Develop short- and long-term strategies with our regional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to roll-out, localize, and maintain technical commercial solutions such as virtual card and data solutions, and APIs
- Grow a portfolio of existing commercial card issuance and build up rapport with key commercial issuing partners
- Identify, structure and close deals with new prospects and B2B partnerships and upsell to Visa commercial payment solutions through consultative sales approach and value-added technical solutioning
- Implement go-to-market approach of Visa Commercial Solutions for key accounts and collaborate with Account Executives in local market and Subject Matter Experts in Regional Hub to accelerate time-to-revenue project deliverables
- Identifying new revenue or capability augmentation opportunities for Visa through strong understanding of Visa objectives and offerings
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- Minimum 8-10 years of B2B payment industry related experiences in ERP consultancy companies, transactional banking (cash management), corporate banking and/or payment fintechs, with at least 8 years of track record in successfully selling or implementing complex and technical solutions, system, platform, APIs to enterprises, fintechs, SMEs or financial institutions
- Proven track record of selling-in complex, technical solutions by distilling client requirements, working around client's or solution s constraints, and proposing the right value proposition and product construct
- Proven track record of planning, managing and closing a complex, competitive sales effort and managing deals from negotiation, to closing and through delivery
- Excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrating intellectual and analytical rigor in understanding commercial and technical issues
- Able to independently lead and manage cross-functional initiatives, with proven leadership success in influencing internal stakeholders
- Demonstrated thought leadership and aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results
- Passionate about what you do and excited about the opportunity to work for the industry leader
- Possess a high level of professionalism to build business relationships, trust and respect with business partners and suppliers
- Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently across functions
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
