Vectra Networks delivers a new class of advanced threat defense that provides real-time detection and analysis of active network intrusions. Vectra directly analyzes network traffic in real time using a patent-pending combination of data science, machine learning, and behavioral analysis to detect attacker behaviors and user anomalies across the network. All detections are correlated and prioritized to show attacks in context, and Vectra’s machine learning continuously adapts as threats evolve.

Position Overview

Vectra Networks is seeking a self-starting, highly motivated sales professional to join our Field Sales organization as a Regional Sales Manager – Federal Civilian. This role is responsible for all revenue generation within an assigned Federal Civilian territory and requires a proven track record of exceeding sales goals selling into U.S. Federal Civilian agencies.

This position owns a named set of Federal Civilian accounts, including Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Energy (DOE), USDA, Department of Commerce, Social Security Administration (SSA), along with additional Federal Civilian agencies.

We are looking for a true hunter — someone who isn’t afraid to open doors, build new relationships, and take a disciplined, structured approach to pipeline development. The Regional Sales Manager will partner closely with a world-class Sales Engineering team to own the sales process end-to-end, while leveraging marketing, channel, and executive resources to drive success at all levels of the organization.

This individual must be passionate about the value Vectra delivers to customers and consistently demonstrate professionalism, honesty, and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, cultivate, and close new business with Federal Civilian agencies at the executive level, including CISO, CIO, and CTO stakeholders

  • Own and execute a disciplined pipeline development strategy leveraging Marketing, Channel Partners, Customers, Sales Development resources, and direct prospecting efforts

  • Develop and execute an overall account and territory strategy that drives a coordinated, team-based selling approach

  • Partner closely with Sales Engineering to deliver compelling product demonstrations and well-executed proof-of-concept engagements

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with existing Federal Civilian customers focused on retention, renewals, and expansion opportunities

  • Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly revenue and communicate the status of key strategic deals

  • Strategically manage existing channel partners and develop new Federal-focused partner relationships

  • Develop and execute quarterly strategic business plans for the assigned territory

  • Travel approximately 3–4 days per week domestically (with occasional international travel)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of Federal Civilian sales experience, consistently exceeding quota while selling security, networking, and/or software solutions

  • Proven hunter mentality with the ability to initiate relationships, prospect into new accounts, and build early-stage pipeline

  • Demonstrated history of consistent over-achievement and accountability

  • Successful experience closing complex Federal Civilian sales involving multiple stakeholders and buying influences

  • Experience managing and closing deals of $200K+, including large, complex transactions exceeding $1M+

  • Strong experience establishing and maintaining trusted relationships with Federal customers and partners

  • Ability to deliver product demonstrations independently during early customer engagements (prior to Sales Engineer involvement)

  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value

  • Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM tools preferred

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Background in consultative security sales environments such as incident response, threat intelligence, forensics, or penetration testing preferred

  • Public speaking experience preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
