About Vanguard Founded in 1975, Vanguard is one of the world's leading investment management companies. The firm offers investments, advice, and retirement services to tens of millions of individual investors around the globe—directly, through workplace plans, and through financial intermediaries.

Vanguard’s India Office

Vanguard’s office in India is a significant milestone in our global expansion. We are committed to establishing an enduring technology center in Hyderabad, Telangana and are excited to be adding talent who will focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), mobile, and cloud-based technologies that drive our business outcomes and deliver a world-class experience for our clients.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of key human resources initiatives for Vanguard India, ensuring they align with global strategy and the India business’s objectives. This includes shaping workforce and talent strategies that support the company’s growth and long-term mission and vision.
  • Program & Project Execution: Act as a central project manager for critical HR programs and transformation initiatives – from planning through delivery – to drive timely, effective execution. This entails overseeing major HR projects and implementing frameworks to transition global HR processes to the India organization as needed.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Serve as a liaison between the HR Head (CHRO) and key stakeholders – including various HR functional leads, other business unit leaders, global HR partners, and external vendors – to facilitate clear communication, coordination, and engagement around HR initiatives. Work closely with senior leadership (in India and globally) to represent and integrate Human Resources priorities with broader business plans.
  • Operational Support & Communication: Coordinate the daily operations of the HR executive office to enable smooth and efficient functioning of the Human Resources team. Organize and facilitate HR leadership meetings – preparing agendas and briefing materials, documenting key decisions and action items, and tracking follow-ups – to ensure the HR Head is well-informed and focused on high-priority matters. Oversee internal communications for the HR division, crafting clear, professional messaging about HR programs, progress, and achievements to enhance visibility and alignment.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Work closely with HR functional leads to monitor progress on HR goals and objectives (OKRs). Consolidate updates across all HR functions and prepare regular reports and insights for the senior India leadership & global HR teams, providing a clear view of HR’s ongoing progress, key accomplishments, and areas requiring attention. These updates enable data-informed discussions and ensure accountability for achieving HR strategic objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement & Analytics: Leverage data-driven analysis and key HR metrics (e.g., hiring progress, retention, engagement scores) to evaluate the impact of people initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement. Champion a culture of continuous improvement by introducing best practices and innovative solutions in HR processes – from recruitment to separation – that enhance productivity, efficiency, and the overall employee (crew) experience

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience, with 5 Years of strong background in business project management, stakeholder engagement and process optimization.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BBA / B. Com / BMS) or MBA (Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field).
  • Expertise in project management methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to analyze business challenges, develop strategic roadmaps and implement process improvements.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project reporting tools for data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
