As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist at Vanguard, you will drive cost optimization and operational excellence by building strong supplier partnerships and leading IT procurement initiatives. You'll manage sourcing for software, professional services, hardware, and infrastructure-including networks and data centers-ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and reliability to support Vanguard's mission and strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Leads and prepares medium to high complexity strategic sourcing transactions, negotiations, and supplier selection for products and services.
• Performs supply market data analysis and recommends suppliers and vendors to the business. Identifies and is knowledgeable of industry trends and category strategies.
• Drives engagements, resolves issues, and involves partners as needed. Works with other sourcing operations teams, business leaders, and legal & risk partners for each transaction.
• Ensures proper closure of transactions including the successful handoff to purchasing and payables associates, the validation that suppliers will comply with agreed-upon payment terms, and that the contracting team receives documents in good order.
• Supports adherence to procurement policies and procedures. Ensures application of fair business practices and procurement of products and services at the best execution and price.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Five years related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Prior experience in IT Procurement is required.
• This role is hybrid with the expectation of 3 days in-office at our Malvern, PA campus.
