Responsibilities

As a Team Member, ensure that,

Work with N+1 to formulate the tactical plan to meet the Development Strategies for database

• Support automated methodologies for integrating data from multiple sources and use queries to build a reporting dashboard / indicators

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Administer and manage core AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Route 53, and IAM.

• Operations and Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Amazon CloudWatch, ) to proactively identify and resolve issues.

• Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and use infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform) for efficient deployment and management of AWS resources.

• Security and Compliance: Enforce AWS security best practices and ensure all cloud resources comply with organizational and industry regulations.

• Troubleshooting and Support: Act as a subject matter expert, handling complex technical escalations, providing expert guidance, and troubleshooting AWS environment issues for self and assisting the team and TL.

• Cost Optimization: Monitor AWS usage and costs, identifying and implementing strategies for cost optimization and efficiency.

• Process Improvement: Implement new operational processes and procedures in the team as applicable, focusing on continuous improvement of cloud operations.

• Maintain installation and configuration procedures, and drive complex projects and technical solutions

• Support the efforts for cross-training and collaboration with other members of the Infrastructure Operations team

• Develop shared knowledge of leveraged tools on the Infrastructure Operations team, eliminating single points of knowledge and dependencies

• Work with N+1 & Lead Engineers to establish and support technical policies and procedures

• Drive compliance and security efforts related to systems managed by GISOCC

• Drive improved “Efficiency” using consistent and documented procedures

• Work with the stakeholders on project progress, issues and solutions.

Education/Training

Graduation (BSC/ BCA/ BE/B.Tech/MSC IT) with no history of arrears .

• 3 to 5 years’ experience managing AWS infrastructure

• 3 to 5 yrs of experience in IACProfessional Experience

3 to 5 years’ experience in managing and operating production AWS cloud infrastructure, with hands-on experience across core services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.).

• 3 to 5 years’ experience utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform for automated provisioning and management.

• Experience with developing automation scripts (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for operational tasks and efficiency improvements.

• Experience with System administration in Linux and Windows environments.

• Experience implementing and managing enterprise monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Amazon CloudWatch,).

• Experience working within IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks (e.g., ITIL).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
