About the role

The Department of Biochemistry at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center invites applications from candidates for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor.

The Department is strongly research-oriented with major programs in discovery biology, metabolism, RNA biology, enzymology, carbohydrate biology, and drug discovery. We are particularly interested in strong candidates who will complement our existing strengths.

Duties:

Conduct an independent, externally funded research program in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related disciplines. Mentor graduate trainees, collaborate with faculty, participate in graduate-level teaching, and contribute to departmental service.

Qualification:

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent and be engaged in innovative research within biochemistry, molecular biology, or at the interface between chemistry and biology.
