Digital and Web Strategist

The Digital and Web Strategist is responsible for leading the strategy, management, and optimization of the UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s digital presence and online fundraising initiatives. This role oversees the Foundation’s digital engagement and fundraising platform—including email, online giving, peer to peer fundraising, and CRM integration—to support revenue growth and donor engagement. Working within the Marketing and Communications team, this position ensures the Foundation’s website and digital channels are effective, user friendly, data driven, and aligned with brand standards and organizational goals.

After an Orientation period, hybrid work arrangements may be made.Responsibilities:

• Essential Responsibilities

• Lead digital strategy for email, website giving, and peer to peer fundraising initiatives

• Manage and optimize digital fundraising campaigns in collaboration with Direct Response and Development teams

• Build and maintain donation forms, campaign pages, and event pages

• Develop and deploy digital communications, including email campaigns

• Manage segmentation, supporter journeys, and digital engagement workflows

• Monitor performance metrics and analyze results across platforms, including Google Analytics (GA4)

• Lead testing and optimization efforts to improve user experience and conversion

• Ensure website usability, accessibility, SEO, and brand consistency

• Coordinate with IT and external vendors on digital development, troubleshooting, and system enhancements

• Support integration of online donations, events, and constituent data with the donor database

• Maintain data security, privacy, and confidentiality standards

• Bachelor’s degree in web design, digital marketing, or a related field•3–5 years of experience in website development, digital marketing, or online fundraising

• Experience working with nonprofit or mission driven digital platforms preferred

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Adobe Creative Suite

• Experience with nonprofit digital fundraising platforms.

• Engaging Networks experience preferred

• Strong understanding of analytics, SEO, and digital best practices

• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively

• Strong communication and problem solving skills•Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Act 31 / Act 33 / Act 34 / Act 73 with renewal
