Housekeeper (Twin Lakes Behavioral Health)

UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Twin Lakes is hiring!

If you enjoy staying active and having something different to tackle each day, this unique position offers a great mix of maintenance, housekeeping, groundskeeping and patient support responsibilities! As the Housekeeper, you will provide a safe environment for patients and staff. Responsibilities will include cleaning assigned areas, moving furniture and equipment, completing safety checks, lawn care, snow plowing and maintaining facility spaces. This role also requires patient room and luggage searches as well as transporting patients as needed.

Key Information:

• Schedule: Daylight- 7am-3:30p, or 7:30a-4p. Requires rotating weekends. No on-call.
• Location: 224 Twin Lake Road, 15501
• Dress Code: Jeans/shorts, T-shirt. Hats are permitted. Each October, a $200 stipend is provided for winter clothing or boots.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.

• Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.

• Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor.

• Remove trash from all assigned areas.

• Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment, following established procedures.

• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to assure adequate supply.

• Move equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets, etc. as assigned.

• Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete housekeeping duties.

• Ability to use housekeeping equipment.

• Successful completion of POWRR Curriculum preferred.

• May in the course of duties be in rooms where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
• Act 34
