About the Role:

In this role you will support Uber's Delivery business in one of our key sub-regions within the EMEA mega-region.

You will be in a unique position with access to the overall business allowing you to reach insights others might not have access to.

In addition to supporting our financial planning, forecasting and analysis efforts, you'll be able to turn these insights into initiatives, running them and helping to drive strategic decisions. What You'll Do:

1. Financial planning and analysis: work closely with the finance organisation and with regional business leaders to develop financial forecasts and operational goals, apply business judgment and financial insights to help with decision making;

2. Sophisticated financial modelling: build models from scratch, improve existing models, and break sophisticated models down into components that consolidate;

3. Think strategically and implement: the models we build aid in decision making and strategy - we operationalise our insights and support everyday execution;

4. Monthly close: analyse variances between actuals, forecast, and plan - use insights to iterate on forecasts and build/discuss potential action plans with cross-functional customers;

5. Operational improvement: help improve our planning processes and ensure finance standard methodologies spread through the organisation. Collaborate with Accounting to provide input on management reporting needs and better understand our actuals;

By signing up, you agree to our 6. Business optimisation: support initiatives that optimise our global P&L. Partner with the Senior Finance Management to provide financial insights and assess the company's overall progress towards its strategic objectives;

1. Innovate: we will push the boundaries beyond traditional forecasting. Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical abilities;

2. Special projects: new initiatives always come up, you will have the chance to contribute beyond regular modelling.

Basic Qualifications:

1. BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or similar;

2. 3+ years in Banking, Corporate finance or operational FP&A role at either a high-growth company or a large, well-established organisation;

3. Elite Excel/Google Sheet skills: Standard methodologies are second-nature, your models are efficient, scalable and intuitive;

4. Excellent communication and people skills: numbers are key, but a business is built with people;

5. Self-starter: take initiative, be dedicated, set and drive toward goals;

6. Systems: proven understanding of enterprise-level financial planning systems;

7. Attention to detail: consistent with swift and high quality execution. We do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Striking that balance can be daring and this should be a strength of yours.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Good understanding of US GAAP;

2. SQL skills: the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in tackling this role;

3. CFA or CPA.
