About the Role
The Uber Earner Research Team is looking for a User Experience Researcher to help us deeply understand people and context, shaping the future of Uber's Mobility products. Our team plays a pivotal role in influencing key product decisions by providing exceptional insights into people, technology, and services-both today and in the future.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of Uber's Fleets, Vehicles, and Hailables product evolution, ensuring that our platform delivers exceptional experiences for both riders and drivers worldwide. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and Marketing teams to drive research-backed decisions that impact millions of users.

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points
---- What the Candidate Will Do ----
- Work with our Product and Design teams to creatively identify and explore new opportunities to help define product roadmaps, vision, and strategy that directly relates to local & global initiatives.
- Design and conduct foundational, formative, and evaluative qualitative and quantitative user research, including field observations and interviews, remote and in-person usability studies, and other methods as needed for existing and future products.
- Collaborate with a diverse group of cross-functional product, design, engineering, and product marketing partners to achieve alignment and impact.
- Synthesize and communicate research findings to drive understanding, user empathy, and business decisions across the organization.
- Deliver high-quality insights in a fast-paced work environment.
- Prioritize the most impactful UXR-led initiatives and support local teams with research in an advisory role, as needed.
- Scale insights to other regions & parts of the business. Partner with other UXRs to strengthen & triangulate their own insights.
---- Basic Qualifications ----
- Strong understanding of UX research methods, their strengths, and limitations.
- Proven ability to plan and execute research projects across different product development phases.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex findings into concise, actionable insights.
---- Preferred Qualifications ----
- Experience conducting international research and working on products with global reach.
- Strong background in mixed methods research, with an emphasis on strategic and generative research.
- Ability to prioritize research projects effectively based on business impact and effort required.

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity.
