#Great Minds Don't Think Alike At Uber, we take pride in our diversity and working environment that sees you as more than just a person that can do the job, but a unique individual that can level up our organization with a perspective only you can offer. Uber provides a truly open culture that encourages all to voice their thoughts.

About the Role

The Ad Operations Specialist will play a key role in Uber Advertising across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Taiwan, working closely with offshore teams and sales to ensure seamless campaign setup and execution. Based in Sydney or Melbourne but working across all APAC countries, this role will drive business growth, acting as a local escalation point for Sponsored Listings and Display Ad campaigns, while also bridging the gap between business needs and offshore trafficking teams.
This is a technical operations role that requires strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with complex ad-serving systems.
The role is critical to the success of Uber's advertising partners, their campaigns, and the in-country Ad Sales teams across APAC. With Ads being one of Uber's major growth priorities, this position is essential in the market. As Uber's portfolio of advertisers expands, this role will be pivotal in scaling operational processes to support continued sales growth.

Your Impact in Role

You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy solving complex problems, dissecting issues across multiple systems, and working closely with technical and engineering partners.

  • Dive deep - troubleshoot technical issues with campaigns and, if necessary, escalate to engineering.
  • Facilitate calls between sales and offshore teams to ensure the optimal setup of campaigns with complex, multi-layered logic.
  • Escalate challenges and blockers that hinder the campaign execution workflow to cross-functional teams worldwide.
  • Understand ad platform updates that affect campaign setup and communicate these to stakeholders.
  • Participate in pre-campaign discussions to ensure complex campaigns are set up for success from the beginning.
  • Assist in the regional deployment of global operational initiatives.
  • Act as the point of contact (POC) for the ad-server platform, collaborating with local and central subject matter experts to resolve issues.
  • Track and monitor key weekly operational & performance metrics using internal tooling, often requiring SQL, as well as product dashboards.

The Experience You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in the digital advertising industry, with a strong understanding of ad operations, technology, scripting, and working with ad-tech and backend systems.
  • Comfortable navigating complex systems and independently resolving ambiguous technical issues.
  • Minimum three years of experience in Ad Operations, Ad Tech, digital advertising, or a similar role at a data-driven, tech-savvy company.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Analytical mindset, with data-driven and quantitative skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, scientific or technical field.
  • Experience in the ANZ market, working with advertisers across various industries.
  • Hands-on experience in managing and optimizing digital advertising campaigns.
