Duties: Identify and understand trends with internal data and external data in macro environment. Use data to understand root cause and uncover meaningful business insights. Employ advanced statistical techniques using large structured and unstructured sets in development of insights. Utilize insights to drive change and catalyze team to improve operational processes. Provide thought leadership to craft solutions and implement changes. Communicate analyses to internal and external stakeholders including Uber Insurance leadership and Claims & Actuarial stakeholders at third party insurers. Supervise at least 1 Actuary / 15-2011; Actuaries. May telecommute.

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field, followed by eight years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Position requires eight years in:

1. Data manipulation using MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL, R, or Python;
2. Statistical analysis tools such as Python and R;
3. Building models using open-source software (R and Python);
4. Experience with personal or commercial insurance;
5. Predictive modeling;
6. Selecting and applying actuarial techniques to insurance data;
7. Quantifying and applying impacts of changes in processes to estimate future costs.
