About the Team:
Uber Direct is changing the way delivery is done around the world. We allow brands to leverage Uber's fleet of delivery partners to offer world leading speed and reliability for orders made through their existing websites or apps.
We have developed Partnerships with Merchants across a variety of verticals, including Restaurants and Retail, and are only just getting started.
About the Role:
We are looking for the right person to act as the Uber Direct, Specialist Account Executive for Restaurant and Retail in ANZ. You will collaborate with the respective commercial teams to tailor the value proposition and articulate how Uber Direct addresses merchant challenges. Additionally, you will manage the pipeline of opportunities from discovery through the first order.
This is a consultative role in which success depends on a deep understanding of merchant needs, solution selling, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Your Impact in Role

Partner with Retail and Restaurant Account Executives on complex Enterprise opportunities, using your subject matter expertise in Direct to conduct consultative discovery sessions and deliver tailored solutions that address merchant needs and influence decision-makers.

Manage a pipeline of opportunities, owning the full sales cycle, from discovery to first delivery, with enterprise and mid-market retailers.

Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, operations, product, and account management teams to ensure successful onboarding and long-term merchant success.

Serve as the subject matter expert for Uber Direct in Restaurant & Retail with a deep understanding of the Australian market and its specific challenges and opportunities.

The Experience You'll Bring

Speed, resourcefulness, and a go-getter mentality

5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development
-
Demonstrated high performance in sales and account management of technical products

Experience leading sales process end-to-end, and effective building and managing of a long-term sales pipeline
Preferred Qualifications:
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and navigating ambiguity
- Ability to assess business opportunities and read prospective buyers
- Effective written and verbal communication with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience selling into or partnering with multi-unit brands and organisations
- Experience with delivery and/or third-party marketplaces at a high-growth tech company
- Experience leading conversations with executive-level external partners
