About the Team
The Airports + High Value Experience team plays a critical role in making Uber the preferred ground transport choice for travellers across APAC at key high volume locations. Our mission is to deliver a seamless airport experience, grow airport trip volume, and ensure Uber is there reliably when customers need it most. With some of the largest pax volume airports in the world based in the region, this is one of the biggest growth opportunities for Uber globally.
About the Role:
This role offers a unique opportunity to accelerate Uber's presence at airports across North Asia including Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea markets.
You'll blend commercial acumen, customer obsession, external and internal stakeholder management and analytical rigor to deliver strategy. You'll execute initiatives that deliver a step change in how customers get picked up from the airport at critical travel gateways in our priority markets.
What the Candidate Will Need:
- Develop strategy to win the airport pickup experience:** partner with local team stakeholders to devise a strategy to uplevel the airport pick up experience at some of the largest airports in the world and lead execution;**
- Project management and execution**- Plan and project manage multiple projects and have the ability to execute in a constantly changing, complex environment.**
- Drive innovation & product excellence**: Partner with product and operations teams to scope, test, and launch new features, services, or promotions that enhance the airport traveller experience.**
- Turn insights into impact**: Analyze traveller and marketplace data to identify growth opportunities, evaluate new initiatives, and translate findings into actionable strategies.**
- Operational execution**: Ensure smooth delivery and continuous optimization of airport operations, working cross-functionally to troubleshoot and improve processes at scale.**
- Contribute to regional priorities**: Collaborate with country teams and global partners to align airport initiatives with broader APAC consumer growth strategies.**
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience, ideally in strategy, operations, consulting, partnerships, or a fast-moving tech environment.
Bonus if you have worked in travel or at an airport.
2. Stakeholder management**: Experience managing internal and external stakeholders and engaging with cross-functional teams at all levels across the business and senior leadership at external partners.**
Preferred Qualifications:
- Language:** Ability to speak Japanese or Mandarin is preferred but this isnot a mandatory requirement. If you have strong background in strategy and operations, please do not hesitate to submit your application.**
- Commercial acumen**: Ability to design and execute initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes, including external partnerships. Strong analytical capability, adept at combining business, strategy, finance, and legal concepts to lead intricate, multi-faceted partnerships.**
- Customer obsession**: Deep intuition for what makes a great traveller experience and the drive to continuously raise the bar.**
- #Go Get It**: A self-starter with strong prioritization, execution, and problem-solving skills. A high standard of performance and a proactive bias toward action. You are resourceful in gathering necessary context and information through organizational relationships, you champion clarity and delivery, and you hold both your own contributions and those of your collaborators to an exceptionally high standard.**
- Collaboration & communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective engagement within your team, with leadership, and with external partners
