About the Role
The Manager, Global Strategy & Planning, will deliver high priority strategy projects across the Global Support Operations organization, which is responsible for providing customer care globally. Based in New York City or Chicagobut working with teams around the world, this role will apply expert project and stakeholder management skills to execute complex global, cross-functional projects to materially improve Uber's operations.
In this role, you will help support leadership in company-wide decision-making through your critical thinking, strategic mindset, and data-driven approach. You should have excellent problem-solving, time-management, cross-functional leadership, and written communication skills coupled with the ability to clearly and compellingly articulate and present complex information to stakeholders at all levels of the business.
What you'll do

Help design and launch Global Support Operations strategies for customer support, including running analysis and developing strategic insights into region- and function-spanning projects that enable Uber Leadership's decision-making

Help identify opportunities in our processes and operating models, and support strategic projects aimed at making improvements with global impact

Scope new opportunities across verticals & industries, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analysis

Develop executive-level communications and presentations for Uber's leadership to drive key stakeholder alignment and communicate how projects and recommendations are connected to larger customer support goals

Provide thought leadership on problems without precedent by setting strategic priorities, aligning the vision, and sharing best practices

Design and lead collaborative working models with other teams across Global Support Operations and Uber
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree
-
Minimum 5 years of work experience, with at least 2 years of corporate strategy, investment banking, or strategy / operations consulting experience
3.Experience in communicating with and presenting to senior leaders
- Experience collaborating and influencing others in a cross-functional team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
-
MBA, Master's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or other quantitative fields

6 years of experience in strategy consulting or investment banking, or 7 years in corporate strategy

Critical thinking / ability to understand strategic business drivers across disparate businesses will be essential to success

Highly structured, organized, and detail oriented approach to work

Demonstrated ability to own and execute on multiple major strategic projects / programs simultaneously

Advanced sheets / data analysis skills with demonstrated experience building financial / economic / analytical models, both high-level and detailed
-
Advanced slides / presentation skills with demonstrated experience crafting executive-ready material (presentations, recommendations) and working closely with senior leaders

Experience working in highly collaborative work environments

Experience leading large cross-functional and data-driven projects

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD**$146,000 per year**
-
USD**$162,000 per year**.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD**$162,000 per year**

USD**$180,000 per year**.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits. Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office. For certain roles, such as those based at green-light hubs, employees are expected to be in-office for 100% of their time.
