About the Role

  • The Program Manager
  • Enterprise Applications is a key member of the Enterprise Collaboration Applications team and is responsible for serving as the end-to-end owner for Tier-2 enterprise applications across collaboration, AI productivity, and business enablement platforms. This role ensures Tier-2 tools are operated with strong governance, clear ownership, and operational maturity, enabling senior engineers to focus on Tier-0 and Tier-1 systems.

The role partners closely with L2/L3 support engineers, Security, Procurement, Legal, and external vendors to drive application health, roadmap clarity, security alignment, and cost effectiveness.

This position requires a high-ownership mindset, sound technical judgment, and the ability to manage multiple applications and stakeholders in parallel while making informed decisions in environments with evolving requirements.

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

  • Act as the single-threaded owner for Tier-2 enterprise applications (e.g. Adobe, Lucid, Figma etc.)
  • Develop deep functional and operational understanding of each application through hands-on usage and feature evaluation
  • Own the full application lifecycle, including onboarding, access management, feature adoption, change management, renewals, and deprecation
  • Maintain an accurate Tier-2 application inventory with clear visibility into usage, risk posture, cost, ownership, and dependencies
  • Translate business and security requirements into system designs, including ERDs, data flow diagrams, and integration patterns
  • Assign work to delivery, track execution, and ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones
  • Coordinate with L2/L3 support engineers to define operational processes, escalation paths, and ongoing support models
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, including product discussions, roadmap alignment, and issue resolution
  • Lead commercial activities such as renewals, and negotiations
  • Create and manage purchase orders (POs) and support financial processes related to application spend
  • Assess cost versus value and identify opportunities for consolidation, optimization, or deprecation
  • Provide clear, structured updates to stakeholders on application health, risks, and execution status

---- Basic Qualifications ----

  • Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS applications, including collaboration tools, AI productivity platforms, and business workflow solutions
  • Ability to read, create, and review ERDs, data flow diagrams, and system integration designs
  • Working knowledge of SSO and IAM concepts, SaaS security models, and access governance
  • Solid understanding of APIs and SaaS integrations (no heavy coding required)
  • Comfortable hands-on testing and exploring applications to understand real-world usage and edge cases
  • Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager, Application Owner, or Enterprise Systems Manager
  • Strong ability to manage multiple vendors, platforms, and workstreams in parallel
  • Excellent prioritization, sequencing, and dependency management skills
  • Experience partnering with L2/L3 support engineers and defining operational and escalation processes
  • Experience leading vendor negotiations, renewals, and commercial discussions
  • Ability to evaluate cost versus value and identify consolidation or optimization opportunities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive updates, security reviews, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • High ownership mindset; treats applications as products rather than tickets
  • Comfortable making informed decisions with imperfect or evolving data
  • Detail-oriented yet pragmatic, with sound judgment on when "good enough" rigor is appropriate
  • Trusted partner to Security, Engineering, and Compliance teams
  • Calm, structured, and credible presence when engaging vendors and senior stakeholders

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

  • Experience owning large-scale enterprise SaaS applications end-to-end, including roadmap, lifecycle management, and deprecation

  • Exposure to custom-built internal platforms that integrate with commercial SaaS tools

  • Experience working closely with Security, Privacy, and Compliance teams on risk assessments and policy alignment

  • Understanding of data classification, retention, and e Discovery requirements

  • Experience defining SLAs, operational metrics, and success KPIs for enterprise applications

  • Background in IT, Enterprise Applications, Productivity Engineering, or Internal Tools teams
