About the Role

Uber's Mobility Marketplace organization stands at the forefront of our global mission to redefine how the world moves. This team is instrumental in operating a sophisticated, AI-driven system that strategically balances supply and demand in real-time, seamlessly connects riders and drivers, and ensures unparalleled efficiency across billions of annual trips.
Marketplace Health builds the tools and technology to manage the health of our cities worldwide, making sure we have enough drivers and riders to keep our cities moving. You'll work closely with other product managers, data science and engineering to deliver global solutions that keep our business running. It's complex, requires a deep understanding of business and marketplace dynamics, and no two cities are alike.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Own and execute the product strategy for Marketplace Health & Intelligence.
  • Use data, user research, and market analysis to identify new opportunities and drive product decisions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, design, and operations teams to build and launch high-quality products.
  • Utilize analytics and experimentation design to continuously monitor product performance metrics and identify key investment opportunities.
  • Take full ownership of the entire product lifecycle, from conducting in-depth user research and analyzing market trends to crafting detailed product specifications, defining clear use cases, setting measurable success metrics, and overseeing successful feature launches and subsequent post-launch analysis.
  • Clearly communicate plans, insights, and results to executives, product teams, and cross-functional partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years Product Management experience at a tech company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative or technical field.
  • Experience with machine learning or algorithm-driven products.
  • Customer empathy, evidenced by a passion for creating positive user experiences for both riders and drivers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on large-scale, complex systems, preferably in a marketplace or two-sided platform environment.

  • Demonstrable strong analytical capability and a consistently data-driven approach with proven ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data, translate identified problems into clear user requirements, and make informed product decisions grounded in strong product intuition.

  • Expertise in navigating complex marketplace dynamics, including a deep understanding of balancing supply and demand, implementing and optimizing dynamic pricing models & incentives.

  • For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD**$190,000 per year**

  • USD**$211,000 per year**.
