About the Role:
The Client Partner is a senior sales role based in our Tokyo office, responsible for managing Global and Enterprise restaurant brands across Japan. You will own a portfolio of the largest QSR advertisers in the market and serve as their primary strategic partner.
Working closely with Delivery Account Management and Ads Account Management teams, you will consistently deliver against partners' growth and marketing objectives. Reporting to the Head of Uber Advertising Japan, you will build long-term, strategic joint business partnerships that drive sustained revenue growth and measurable business impact for restaurant partners.
This role is suited for a commercially driven, consultative sales leader who thrives in ambiguity, excels at complex deal-making, and is passionate about building executive-level partnerships.
Your Impact in Role:

Strategic Account Leadership

Serve as the primary strategic partner for major QSR advertisers, owning an established book of enterprise accounts

Apply disciplined sales lifecycle management to maximize revenue, retention, and long-term growth

Proactively identify opportunities and address partner pain points through bespoke, solution-oriented approaches

Navigate ambiguity and complexity to deliver tailored strategies aligned with partner objectives

Joint Business Planning & Growth Acceleration

Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) to evolve partnerships into long-term, strategic collaborations
-
Act as a growth accelerator by aligning Uber's solutions with partners' marketing calendars and growth ambitions

Drive integrated planning across Ads, Offers, and Demand Generation solutions to deliver maximum impact

Data-Driven Negotiation & Value Creation

Secure incremental budget allocation through sophisticated, data-backed proposals

Lead complex negotiations by clearly demonstrating ROI, incrementality, and efficiency

Guide partners toward sustainable, high-impact demand generation strategies

Market & Platform Expertise
-
Apply deep understanding of the Japan QSR market and broader retail landscape

Leverage expertise across traditional and digital advertising platforms, including Meta, Google, Tik Tok, and competitors

Position Uber's Demand Generation suite (Ads and Offers) to deliver against specific partner goals
The Experience You'll Bring:

7+ years of proven success owning and expanding enterprise accounts, with experience transitioning relationships from transactional sales to strategic partnerships

Demonstrated ability to lead Joint Business Plans that drive significant revenue growth

Expertise within QSR, CPG, or Retail sectors, with strong knowledge of the traditional and digital advertising ecosystem

Proven track record of upselling value-based solutions that increase client investment and deliver measurable business results

Strong commercial acumen with accountability for exceeding revenue targets in competitive environments
Preferred Qualifications:

7+ years of experience managing and scaling major enterprise accounts

Deep industry expertise in QSR, CPG, or Retail, with advanced understanding of ad-tech platforms such as Meta, Google, and Tik Tok

Extensive experience building trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, including C-suite leaders, Heads of Media, and agency partners
-
Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex performance marketing data and translate insights into compelling, data-driven proposals

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity.
