About the Role
As the General Manager for Uber Eats in Belgium, you will lead one of Uber's most dynamic and high-growth regions. You'll be at the forefront of the next phase of growth with a big focus on scaling our platform, ensuring operational excellence, and driving impactful partnerships that benefit consumers, restaurant partners, and delivery partners alike. What You Will Do
- Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute a compelling strategy to scale Uber Eats across Belgium, ensuring alignment with global priorities while incorporating local market insights.
- Team Management: Build and lead the local team and ensure our org and resources are optimized to achieve our business ambitions.
- Operational Leadership: Ensure operational excellence through marketplace optimization, improving margins and overall efficiency while improving customer satisfaction across all touchpoints.
- P&L Ownership: Take full responsibility for the P&L, driving financial growth and profitability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders, including enterprise partners, policymakers, and local communities.
What You Will Need
- 10+ years of experience: You have experience in strategic, operational, or leadership roles, with a demonstrated history of managing a P&L and driving impactful outcomes.
- Leadership Experience: You have a proven track record of successfully leading teams and driving strategic initiatives across cross-functional teams.
- Strategic Thinker: You are capable of developing and implementing long-term strategies, while also diving into the details to ensure operational excellence. You thrive on turning complex challenges into actionable plans.
- Inspirational Leader: You excel at motivating and engaging diverse teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance. You build strong relationships, both within your team and with external partners.
- Project Management: You have experience managing large-scale projects, collaborating with various stakeholders, and optimizing operational performance.
- Data-Driven Decision Maker: You rely on data to guide your decisions, identifying trends and opportunities quickly and acting to capitalize on them.
- Adaptable & Resilient: You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments where priorities may shift. You handle ambiguity with ease and maintain focus and energy through challenges.
- Results-Oriented: You are driven to achieve goals and exceed targets. You set clear objectives and continuously optimize for success.
- Full proficiency in French or Dutch (or ideally both!) and English is mandatory
