About the Role
The Program Manager role sits within the Regulated Services Team (RST) within Uber, focused on enabling compliant payment services across our global footprint.
Within RST, the Program Management Team serves as a specialised function dedicated to driving operational excellence across regulated entities, with a strong focus on events and incident management, PMO services, and delivery of strategic regulatory initiatives.
The Program Management Team partners closely with Regulated Entities, Compliance, Product, and Operations teams to ensure regulatory requirements are translated into clear execution plans and delivered effectively.
As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading and delivering regulatory and compliance-related programs for regulated entities, with a primary focus on the LATAM region, specifically our regulated entity in Mexico.
The role is execution-focused, highly cross-functional, and central to enabling compliant product delivery and operations.
What the Selected Candidate Will Do:
- Lead and deliver strategic regulatory and compliance programs for regulated entities, translating regulatory and business requirements into structured program plans with clear milestones, dependencies, and risks.
- Support with the delivery of payments compliance product planning for regulated entities, partnering with the Regulated Entities, Product, Compliance, and Engineering teams to ensure regulatory readiness aligns with product roadmaps and launch timelines.
- Own end-to-end program governance, including tracking progress, managing risks and issues, and driving timely decision-making and escalation where needed.
- Support events and incidents management activities, including coordination, tracking, and reporting for UBR Pagos México.
- Develop and deliver executive-ready reporting and updates for senior stakeholders and steering committees.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes, tools, and ways of working within RST.
- Basic Requirements
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- 6+ years of experience delivering complex programs or projects (in a regulated, or compliance-driven environment is a bonus!).
- Strong program management fundamentals, including planning, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience working cross-functionally with diverse teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured updates for senior audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in payments, fintech, or financial services within a regulated environment
