About the Role
Uber is one of the largest and most complex global merchants, processing over $100B annually in payments across 70+ countries. The Partnerships team is a core pillar of the Global Payments Group and is responsible for partnering with Uber's global payment partners to deliver world-class experiences. This team is critical to opening new geographies and product lines, reducing unit economics, and improving the user experience through enhanced payment solutions.
This role's primary focus will be to own relationship management for Uber's payment partners in Turkey, supporting both our Rides and Eats businesses. This role will serve as Uber's primary external face to the Turkish payments ecosystem and a key internal partner to regional and global stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings deep payments expertise in Turkey, existing relationships with local providers and the ability to operate effectively in a complex market.
What You'll Do
- Own relationship management for Uber's payment partners in Turkey, including local PSPs, acquirers, issuing banks, meal voucher providers and local and global banks operating in Turkey
- Serve as Uber's primary external point of contact for the Turkish payments ecosystem, managing senior stakeholder relationships, issue resolution and ongoing partner governance
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Risk, and Operations to support local launches, expansions, and partner-driven initiatives
- Acts as the local payments expert for Turkey, providing market insights and guidance to regional and global teams.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years experience in payments - either focusing on the topic at a merchant, issuing bank, acquirer, network and/or payment processor
- Hands-on experience working in the Turkish payments ecosystem
- Proven experience managing high-impact partnerships and working with multiple stakeholders
- Strategic thinking with strong communication skills; able to influence across levels and functions
- Demonstrated experience leading efforts from start-to-finish with limited guidance
- Fluency in Turkish and English (written and spoken)
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience at a high-growth tech company or global payments company
- Experience working in payments in a global role, advising on multiple countries
- Advanced knowledge of card-not-present, alternative payments, bank payment standards and/or risk mitigation solutions
- Ability to partner with teams to ensure any dependencies that they may have are unblocked in a timely manner
