About the Role

Our team is designing and building the Unified Deployment Engine, a system responsible for orchestrating the safe rollout of changes throughout all 5.000+ stateless services, 40+ Stateful Technologies (MySQL, Schemaless, Cassandra, etc), OSS K8s operators, thousands of configurations, all changes that support and power the entire Uber product.

Our platform is designed to enforce rollout policies, gather signals and enable lockdowns, ensuring that changes are rolled out incrementally, safely and reverted if signals suggest a potential issue.

The scale we operate is significant:

  1. 5000 microservices deployed 750,000 times weekly
  2. 25 storage technologies across 3.8 million containers, running on over 100,000 hosts

Our work directly impacts operational excellence, developer velocity, and overall system reliability at a global scale. Reliability is of the utmost importance. Our systems impact daily 33M+ Uber trips.

If you're passionate about building robust, scalable infrastructure, this is your opportunity to shape the future of Uber's Core Infrastructure.

If this is a space that excites you and you have the appetite to build a best in class Deployment platform, we want you in the team!
