About the Role

As the Uber delivery offerings continue to grow, so does our ecosystem of tightly integrated external partners. Partner Engineering is passionate about expanding, improving, and scaling the integration ecosystem across multiple lines of business. Partner Engineers work at the intersection of product, engineering, and relationship management to help our partners achieve comprehensive integrations that optimize all user experiences.

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

  1. Technical Integration & Development: Act as the primary technical lead for strategic partners, developing customized integration solutions using APIs, SDKs, and modern web technologies.
  2. Strategic Technical Liaison: Bridge the gap between Uber and external partners, translating business requirements into robust technical architectures and seamless user experiences.
  3. Scalable Solution Engineering: Beyond one-off fixes, you will design and implement automated systems and tools to scale partner onboarding and support operations globally.
  4. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Uber's Product and Engineering teams to advocate for partner needs, influencing the product roadmap based on real-world feedback.
  5. Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Own the technical relationship with key stakeholders, providing expert guidance through the entire integration lifecycle, from kickoff to launch.
  6. Process Optimization: Analyze and improve existing integration workflows to drive efficiency, ensuring our ecosystem grows sustainably as we add new lines of business.

---- Basic Qualifications ----

  1. 5-10 years of experience in an external-facing technical role
  2. Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  3. Intimate knowledge of APIs and adjacent technologies
  4. SQL and/or other data analytics skills
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical senior stakeholders
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-driven approach
  7. Degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or meaningful industry experience.
