About the Role

The Mobility team is responsible for bringing Uber's vision to life in Japan. The team is responsible for strategy creation, and execution for our Driver and Rider focused activities. Operations are all about running our business with executional excellence and helping our driver-partners and riders get the most out of the Uber platform. As a Logistics & Operations Manager, you'll help us grow by refining our sales, payment, and logistics processes. You'll be a key player in building a solid operational foundation-turning diverse business needs into smooth, efficient workflows that make life easier for the whole team.

Your Impact in Role:

  1. Sales & Account Management Standardization (CRM Ops)
  • Workflow Standardization: Facilitate the end-to-end operational flow for Sales and Account Management. You will help define and maintain standardized processes for activity tracking, partner onboarding, and performance metrics to ensure team consistency.
  • CRM Optimization: Maintain the health and utility of CRM tools (Salesforce). Drive data accuracy and build visibility into the sales activities.

Payment & Hardware Logistics Systematization:

  • Payment Operational Excellence: Streamline payment cycles and settlement flows. Your focus will be on ensuring accurate and reliable daily operations.
  • Supply Chain Support: Coordinate the hardware lifecycle, from procurement and inventory management to delivery optimization.
  1. Process Transformation
  • Operational Transparency: Proactively identify unstructured workflows. You will empower the team by creating the "source of truth" that enables everyone to execute with excellence.
  • Data-Guided Support: Use data to identify where processes could be smoother. You will assist in improvement efforts by highlighting practical ways to simplify daily tasks for the team.
  1. Cross-team Collaboration
  • Internal Operations Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for process improvements across Sales, Account Management, and cross functional teams.

What You Will Need:

  • Extensive experience experience in Sales Operations, Business Development, Customer Success, or a related operational role where execution and coordination were key.
  • Experience of analyzing datasets of approximately 10,000+ records and performing data cleansing for thousands of entries to ensure accuracy.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Tableau (or similar BI tools) to extract and visualize insights.
  • Structured Problem Solving: Ability to organize information logically and identify practical, step-by-step solutions to improve daily workflows.
  • A Hands-on Learner: You love diving deep into the details. You don't just follow a process-you want to understand how it works and find ways to keep it reliable and high-quality.
  • Native-level Japanese proficiency.
  • Business level English proficiency (Comfortable participating in global meetings, writing emails, and understanding internal documentation).
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment (such as a tech startup or growth-stage company) is preferred.
  • Basic experience of using Salesforce (or similar CRM tools) is preferred.
