About the Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic and strategic Brand Partnership Marketing Manager to join our Brand Partnership Marketing team based in Sydney**.**
This person will manage Uber's most strategic commercial partnerships (e.g Qantas, Cathay), working in lockstep with Business Development in multiple countries across APAC and in some instances US&C or EMEA.

This person will evaluate new partnership opportunities from Business Development, direct and negotiate marketing commitments within these new partnerships. Once the deal is signed, this person will lead all marketing commitments within the contract from marketing strategy, right through to marketing execution across Uber and Partner owned channels.

The right candidate will have a strong understanding and passion for the value of partners hips in driving brand awareness, consumer engagement, and business impact. They will also have a deep background in partner marketing, with the ability to empower and influence senior leadership internally and externally through data-driven recommendations (strong succinct communication skills a must).

This candidate has an ability to work cross functionally across multiple countries (and cultures) and a track record for globally-minded, culturally-relevant campaigns that drive consumer engagement.

This role will report to the Head of Global Brand Partnership Marketing.

What the Candidate Will Do:

  1. Develop, lead and execute all aspects of the partner marketing strategy and campaign execution on several partners: Including creative and media brief writing, media planning, creative execution, Uber CRM owned channel development and measurement end-to-end.

  2. Lead and execute all external facing partner marketing management in collaboration with Business Development. This includes all partner marketing proposals, negotiating budget and/or media assets from the partner, aligning on objectives, creative design, media plans, marketing timelines and all partner marketing communication.

  3. Be the subject matter expert on your prioritized partners including deep knowledge and insights on each partner. Consistently communicate these insights/learnings/performance updates regularly to key stakeholders.

  4. Cultivate relationships and work with cross-functional partners across Business Development, Creative, Legal, Marketing, Ops and Product; in addition effectively partner with BPM's agency of record. Ensure strong and continuous alignment with partner strategy and campaigns to local market goals.

  5. Oversee and manage ongoing partner relationships to ensure mutual benefits are maximized and partner expectations are exceeded, exploring opportunities for expansion where possible.

  6. Manage a portfolio across multiple time zones, manage ongoing prioritization, and make strategic choices to accomplish goals - including some early morning or late meetings.

  7. Manage external partner strategy and relationships focused on meeting partnership timelines and critical metrics. Lead day-to-day partner relationships, escalations, and executive-level presentations.

  8. Lead all partner narratives (able to communicate in deck format), anaylse partner performance and leverage G-Suite and internal dashboards to gauge partner performance, establish insights, and inform new opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in partner and consumer marketing; ideally with a global consumer brand.

  2. Strong marketing campaign delivery experience - running campaigns end-to-end, including writing creative briefs, working with external agencies, understanding media and owned channel plans.

  3. High attention to detail, self-motivated, and an ability to run at multiple competing deadlines at one time.

  4. Ability to lead and influence without implicit direct reports.

  5. Experience working across multiple teams and time zones, building agreement, and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organization.

  6. Experience guiding and executing multiple projects at one time with working groups at different stages of development.

  7. Experience planning and managing partner marketing budgets.

  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills to bring Uber narrative to life with a strong customer and/or partner-centric approach - you are always thinking about your audience and how best to communicate the story.

  9. Best-in-class collaboration skills - you are a great teammate who is passionate about delivering world-class work while enjoying the ride with those around you. Strong data and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working with a complex, fast-paced and geographically dispersed organization e.g Tech

  2. Experience working on multiple projects across multiple time zones outside of Australia, specifically Hong Kong, India, Japan, US and UK.

  3. Lead with a customer first mindset

  4. Strong data and analytical skills
