What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

  1. Build highly scalable and high-quality product features that our Drivers use every day
  2. Write elegant, maintainable, scalable and well-documented code
  3. Collaborate cross function (Data, Design, Product) and cross team for problem solving and product development
  4. Data-driven architecture and systems design
  5. Build reliable alerting and monitoring for the products you build
  6. Provide technical leadership to more junior engineers on the team.

---- Basic Qualifications ----

  1. 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
  2. Proficiency in Java, Golang or any similar languages
  3. Experience working collaboratively and leading cross functional teams
  4. Experience with of shipping high-quality products at scale
  5. Willing to take on ownership of the products, think about operations, maintenance and reliability
  6. Experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

  1. BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  2. Experience working on cross-team initiatives
  3. Experience with micro-service architecture
  4. Self driven to identify opportunities to make things better and efficient
  5. Ability to transform high level business problem to a technical solution
