What the Candidate Will Do Your Impact:

As an Operations Manager, you will drive operational excellence across our merchant acquisition processes, leading a team of 30+ members while partnering with global stakeholders to scale our business efficiently.

Key Responsibilities: 1.Drive Process Optimization & Automation

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies in merchant acquisition workflows

  • Partner with global Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to design and launch solutions that improve efficiency and scalability

  • Build and implement automation to reduce manual work and accelerate processes

Lead Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Analyze conversion rates, funnel metrics, and operational KPIs to identify highest-impact improvement opportunities

  • Use data insights to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources for maximum productivity

  • Build dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track team and process performance

Manage & Develop High-Performing Team:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of up to 30 acquisition specialists

  • Provide daily guidance and feedback to improve individual and team performance

  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement

Incident Management & Issue Resolution:

  • Act as escalation point for critical bugs, system issues, or process failures
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and global Operations teams to drive rapid resolution
  • Lead cross-functional incident response efforts to minimize business impact and maintain merchant experience

Basic Qualifications What You'll Bring:

  • *2+ years of professional experience in Account Management, Business Development, Marketing, Operations, or related fields
  • *Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • *Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and commercial judgment
  • *Operational agility: Proven ability to adapt quickly to change and execute in fast-paced environments
  • *Prioritization skills: Comfortable managing competing priorities and making trade-off decisions under pressure
  • *Communication excellence: Outstanding listening, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • *People management experience: Track record of leading, coaching, or managing teams
  • *Language proficiency:
  • Business-level Japanese (native or near-native)
  • Conversational English (able to communicate effectively in daily work settings)

Preferred Qualifications Bonus Points:

  • *Team leadership experience: 1+ years managing or leading operational teams, preferably in high-growth or tech environments
  • *Advanced English proficiency: Business-level English with ability to:
  • Communicate complex operational issues to global Product and Engineering teams
  • Drive product requirements and launch planning with international stakeholders
  • Present data insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • *Technical aptitude: Familiarity with SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker), or workflow automation platforms
  • *Process improvement frameworks: Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar operational methodologies
  • *Marketplace or platform experience: Background in two-sided marketplace operations, merchant/restaurant management, or B2B sales operations
  • *Cross-functional project management: Track record of leading initiatives across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations teams
