This position is responsible for developing and managing the overall maintenance functions for the facility.

Primary Duties Include:

• Coordinating maintenance activities with production scheduling
• Protecting and ensuring proper manpower requirements for the maintenance department
• Ensuring effective understanding and use of the Tyson CMMS System
• Training and developing maintenance management (supervisors) and hourly team members
• Assisting in the development and management of the plant maintenance budget
• Promoting and implementing maintenance best practices to increase equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Manager Maintenance II in the development, implementation, and management of the annual capital budget
• Acting as project manager on capital and maintenance expenditure projects to ensure proper project scope development, equipment specifications, equipment selection, costing, planning, scheduling, installation, start-up, and commissioning

All efforts will support the plant’s direction of moving from a reactive, interval-based maintenance organization to a proactive, condition-based maintenance organization with world-class maintenance performance.

Requirements

Schedule:

Must be able to work different shifts depending on operational needs.

Education:

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a technical discipline, or equivalent significant work experience.

Experience:

5+ years’ work experience directing and managing; must demonstrate proven people and leadership skills.

Computer Skills:

Strong working knowledge of CMMS, including SAP, Plantview, Workday, and MS Office Suite.

Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Yes
