Job Details:

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the physical security of the facility, including assignments to walking or stationary posts, depending upon the location. The position will require inspection and control of persons and vehicles while entering or leaving the facility, logging of truck traffic during ingress and egress, writing reports, performing preliminary investigations in addition to switchboard operations, two-way radio communication and intercom equipment. Requires a valid drivers' license and must be eighteen years of age or older. Specific duties include: Checking identification of all visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members, allowing only authorized personnel into the facility; Checking temperatures of incoming team members and visitors; Checking all carry-in items including bags, briefcases, toolboxes, lunchboxes, etc.; Writing investigative reports; Preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, work place violence, and other incidents as needed; Roving or walking through the plant areas to check physical facility security; Log truck traffic during ingress and egress to the facility and inspection of all motor vehicles driven into the plant. Must be able to pass a background check.

THIS POSITION IS PRIMARILY AN 'B' SHIFT POSITION

• Days/Hours – Sunday

• Thursday, 4 PM - 12:30 AM

  (days off are Friday & Saturday)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred not required.

• Experience: Supervisory and investigative skills helpful but not mandatory.

• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

• Communication Skills: Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate under stressful situations.

• Environment: Must be able and willing to work in both hot and cold temperatures. Temperatures depend on outside climate. Other: Must have a valid driver's license. Be able to work both independently under supervision and have a positive work ethic attitude.
