SUMMARY:
The Sr Supervisor Production is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to production Team Members, ensuring consistent quality, safety, and operational excellence. This role works closely with management to meet department and plant objectives, accepts full accountability for daily responsibilities, and plays an active role in driving team performance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Oversight
- Supervise production Team Members to ensure high performance, productivity, and adherence to work standards.
- Serve as a team player and lead by example in all aspects of production operations.
- Motivate and support Team Members while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure consistent compliance with:Human resources policies
- Safety policies
- Food safety standards
- Sanitation requirements
- Support management with additional assignments and responsibilities as needed.
Collaboration & Accountability
- Partner closely with the management team to meet operational objectives.
- Take full ownership of day‑to‑day departmental results, challenges, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to problem‑solving efforts and special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Must have general knowledge of production operations and techniques; food safety; product yields and USDA regulations.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual skills helpful.
Travel: Minimal
Supervisory Skills: This person is responsible for supervising a group of team members who perform various production tasks or activities.
Special Skills: Team Leader problem solving and special projects.
Other Requirements: good attendance and safety record. Extra consideration given to team members with technical skills; must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce
