Job Details:

We are seeking an Procurement Professional to support indirect sourcing including equipment and machinery sourcing for our manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational efficiency, cost effectiveness, and supply reliability by partnering closely with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment & Machinery Procurement

  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and related teams to define technical and commercial requirements for equipment and machinery.
  • Review purchase requests and develop sourcing strategies aligned with operational needs and budget constraints.
  • Prepare RFQs/RFPs and obtain competitive quotations from qualified suppliers.

Purchase Order & Delivery Management

  • Evaluate suppliers based on total value including cost, quality, delivery schedule, technical fit, and site conditions.
  • Issue and manage purchase orders, including changes and follow-ups.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and proactively address delays, quality issues, or installation-related challenges.

Supplier Management & Development

  • Manage supplier performance related to pricing, quality, delivery, and contract compliance.
  • Analyze market trends and emerging technologies to identify and develop potential new suppliers.
  • Build long-term, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure stable supply and continuous improvement.

Inventory & Cost Management

  • Monitor inventory levels for spare parts and consumables and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Analyze cost structures from a total cost perspective.
  • Lead cost-saving initiatives through negotiations, alternative sourcing, and specification optimization.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, approval processes, and ethical standards.
  • Support procurement reporting and data analysis (cost savings, supplier performance, delivery metrics).
  • Contribute to procurement process and system improvements (ERP/JDE Edward experience preferred).

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement with a strong understanding of end-to-end procurement processes.
  • Experience handling equipment, machinery, or CAPEX-related procurement.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver clear, structured, and persuasive insights to stakeholders.
  • Business-level English proficiency, including commercial negotiation with global suppliers.

Preferred

  • Experience in manufacturing environments such as food, meat, pharmaceutical, chemical, or FMCG industries.
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, QA, or EHS teams.
  • Experience driving cost-saving or strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • ERP/JDE Edward or procurement system experience.
  • Strong ownership mindset, problem-solving skills, and stakeholder management capability.
