Groundskeeper Lead / Wastewater Operator Trainee

Location: New Holland Complex

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $24.40 hour

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join our team as a Groundskeeper Lead /Wastewater Operator Trainee. This unique position offers the opportunity to develop skills in wastewater management while leading groundskeeping activities. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, eager to learn, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Groundskeeper Lead:

  • Oversee and coordinate groundskeeping activities, ensuring the upkeep of outdoor areas.

  • Lead a team of groundskeepers, providing guidance and support.

  • Maintain lawns, gardens, and other landscaped areas, including mowing, trimming, and planting.

  • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of groundskeeping equipment.

  • Plan and execute seasonal landscaping projects.

Wastewater Operator Trainee:

  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities.

  • Monitor and record data related to wastewater processes.

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment.

  • Learn and adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations.

  • Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • When groundskeeping tasks are completed or not required, focus on learning and performing wastewater operator functions.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless integration of both roles.

  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills in both areas.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in groundskeeping or wastewater management is preferred listed on the application but not required.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.

  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Rehire Consideration:

  • 180 day waiting period

  • Max of two previous Tyson employments to be consider for hire.
