What Is the Opportunity?

The Travelers Canada Internship Program provides qualified students with an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience, receive valuable on-the-job training, and learn more about the growing surety market in Canada.
Interns receive challenging work assignments that add value and impact the organization.

The internship will be from May to Mid August.
Pay range for this role is $25 - $35 / hour

What Will You Do?

  • Each intern will be expected to complete challenging and meaningful project work over the course of this program.
  • Intern duties will involve analyzing financial statements and assisting the underwriting group with credit analysis and underwriting recommendations.
  • As part of the Travelers Canada internship, we also offer:The ability to participate in various Travelers workshops and sessions.
  • Interaction with all levels of management.
  • Networking opportunities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Students who are serious about entering the insurance or commercial credit industry are preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.
  • Students in their third or final year working towards a Bachelor’s degree in a finance or accounting-related discipline are preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen, including the ability to read financial statements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.

What is a Must Have?

  • Must be pursuing post-secondary degree.
  • Legally eligible to work in the Canada.
