Job Summary:
Trane in Brea, CA is hiring for a Regional Control Sales Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and leading all functional aspects of the Controls Sales Team and ultimately responsible for the strategic growth of a region-wide BAS business. This position will develop and implement creative solutions to expand the pipeline of the region’s BAS business and develop and maintain long-term customer relationships with contractors, consulting engineer/architect, and owner accounts.
In partnering with other Sales managers, you will systematically incorporate key corporate initiatives into the BAS selling process. This role will also partner with key operations team members and stakeholders to adopt and execute on customer service initiatives that will universally improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the following functions: customer and regional sales management, new customer acquisition, customer satisfaction measurement, price management, marketing, maximizing account penetration, market penetration, customer retention, hiring and on-boarding of new sales associates, continued assessment of skills and administering necessary training, setting quotas, accurate sales forecasting and consistent use of Trane sales tools and systems.
- Responsible for achieving annual objectives regarding profit, volume, margins, business mix, and share.
- Consistently evaluate new customers/accounts to identify new BAS business opportunities.
- Establish a BAS department linkage to all other facets of our business, including Intelligent Systems, Energy Services (turnkey and performance contracting) and Systems.
- Manage ongoing performance by monitoring and coaching Account Managers’ effectiveness and efficiency in relation to selling strategies specific to the BAS business, assessing customer’s organization structure, buying influences, market trends, concerns, needs and drivers. Encourage focused attention on addressing both the current and emerging needs of the customers.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and sales team as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Minimum five (5) years of related experience in a sales leadership role.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to:
o DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $175,000 to $215,000 annually. Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan.
