Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Corporate Shared Services Division is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Construction Budget and Software Senior Analyst for our Planning and Construction team.
The primary responsibility of this role is to document and track capital budgets and oversee the PM software tool financial information for the Workplace Strategy, Planning & Construction team for North America.
Reporting to the Workplace Strategy, Planning & Construction Senior Manager, the person in this role will support the People & Property Services Department's objective to manage up to $100M in construction projects annually at primarily non-manufacturing locations.
What you’ll be doing
-
Lead and manage capital budget planning process; Create project accounting string info; Collaborate with planning and construction team project managers and SMEs for project priority and budget estimates; Ensure department budgets are input into the construction PM software tool as well as SAP/SAC on a monthly/quarterly basis

Present budget findings by analyzing actuals vs plan, spend trends and make recommendations to construction team management and leadership team

Compile and analyze the monthly, quarterly, mid-year, and annual construction team operating budget forecasting and variance reports
-
Develop key dashboards for executive updates from PM software tool data

Participate in month end close activities, i.e. journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and reporting

Lead training for Workplace Strategy, Planning & Construction team and outsourced PMs for construction software PM tool, as SME
-
Support equipment commissioning (Kanban) training for internal and external PM teams
What you bring
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or Architecture
-
Ability to concurrently execute job requirements of varied size and types via standardized methods
-
Strong financial forecasting and accounting principles experience
-
Financial and project management skills, including construction cost tracking and accurate forecasting of budget variances
-
Robust problem-solving skills in support of resolving issues with sustainable countermeasures and mitigating risk related to project schedules and deadlines
-
Customer service approach to project support and commitment to teamwork
-
Demonstrated finance experience including budgeting, financial modeling, and project management
-
Strong PC proficiency programming ability or ability to write/translate system requirements
-
Strong communication, teamwork, interpersonal, organizing and facilitation skills and excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
-
Self-starter mindset, with the ability to work in a team environment
-
Solid business acumen and process-oriented mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision
-
High degree of business partnering skills and ability to influence others at all levels
Added bonus if you have

Experience tracking budgets for architectural construction projects

Proficiency with SAP, BPC, Power BI Dashboards
