Who we’re looking for
We are seeking a senior Solution/Application Architect with broad full-stack and cloud expertise to design and deliver end-to-end, cloud-native systems. This role translates business outcomes into actionable architectures and working software across the full lifecycle, spanning web and services, APIs, data and databases, event streaming, observability, and platform capabilities such as CI/CD, IaC, and developer productivity tooling. The architect will be hands-on, collaborating with product and engineering to produce clear designs and specifications, and will guide portfolio-level standards and tradeoffs in distributed systems and modern front-end/back-end stacks. A significant focus will be on generative AI—architecting and implementing AI-enabled applications, agents, and platform integrations, including model selection, retrieval patterns, safety and guardrails, and cost/performance optimization.
What you’ll be doing
-
Design end-to-end, cloud-native solutions using microservices, event-driven, and streaming architectures for modular, decoupled systems.
-
Partnerwith other architects, product, and delivery teams to translate business needs into timely, practical solutions.
-
Elevate non-functional qualities: scalability, performance, availability, reliability, maintainability, and reusability.
-
Be a hands-on coder to build proof of concept, evaluate emerging technologies, and validate architecture decisions.
-
Produce clear, current architectural documentation to maintain system integrity and enable knowledge sharing.
-
Define and implement reusable patterns and assets (reference architectures, libraries, frameworks) and promote their adoption.
What you bring
-
Experience Tenure: 12+ years in software engineering with a track record of delivering high-impact products on time.
-
Architecture Leadership: 3+ years as an Application/Solutions Architect delivering enterprise-scale, cloud-native solutions (AWS preferred).
-
Language Expertise: Proven experience building reusable components and shared libraries in Java, Python, and JavaScript.
-
Architecture Depth: Deep understanding of microservices, cloud computing, and non-functional architecture concerns.
-
Security & Dev Sec Ops: Strong grasp of Info Sec and Dev Sec Ops on AWS; relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate) highly desirable.
-
GenAI Proficiency: Designing and implementing AI-enabled applications and platforms, including model selection, prompt/retrieval patterns (RAG), guardrails/safety, evaluation/monitoring, and cost-performance optimization.
-
AI Coding Tools: Practical experience with AI-based developer tools and workflows—e.g., GitHub Copilot, vibe coding, spec-driven development, and AI-assisted code generation/validation—to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
-
Education Preferred: A college degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
-
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Added bonus if you have
-
A strong software developer background with several years of Java or Python development
-
AWS Architecture: Expert in leveraging all things AWS to build full stack applications
-
Recent Gen AI accomplishments as shipped an AI based product to production.
