What you’ll do

The IT Security organization bears the broad responsibilities of delivering information security, practice governance & assurance, and data loss prevention throughout the TJX enterprise. Our worldwide team applies expertise and deep business understanding to ensure confidence for all company associates, investors, and customers.

As a Sr Engineer on NCAS Network Security Engineering, you are to demonstrate knowledge and understanding around infrastructure security and experience in implementing business functionality. You are expected to be hands-on, helping lead the technical direction for infrastructure security services while partnering with architecture, operations and security consultants. Engineers at this level are expected to deliver end-to-end assignments with minimum guidance. Aspire to be the technical lead for the engineering team while overseeing testing and evaluation of new security applications, functions and processes for security risks and compatibility with existing standards and controls.

What you’ll need

We seek creative, security-minded professionals to provide hands-on talent and social expertise in protecting TJX and its assets. You'll work with engineers, business programs, and other security professionals to adapt and improve our security posture in applications, infrastructure, and cloud modernization efforts. You consider core aspects of network and asset communication requirements to streamline troubleshooting activities and implement mature network security features to the business.

Successful candidates will have experience:

• As Subject Matter Expert (SME) of designated tools supporting Network Security like Firewalls, NAC & Cloud Security

• 3+ years of industry experience in network security or related fields.

• Network communication experience with strong static & dynamic routing, wireless,SDWAN, and web application knowledge.

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practice, risk analysis & assessment, and **compliance standards **(i.e. NIST CSF, CIS)

• A keen & strong communicator with professional documentation skills.

• Major OS (Windows, Linux, & MacOS), scripting, and enterprise change management experience are a plus.

Preferred qualifications:

Knowledge Requirements:

• In-depth understanding of firewall technologies and network security principles.

• Proficiency in security compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).

• Knowledge of network architectures (LAN, WAN, WLAN) and network performance optimization.

• Knowledge of cloud networking architecture and technologies.

• Familiarity with security tools such as intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and WAF solutions.

• Ability to conduct risk assessments and vulnerability management.

• Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex network security issues.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

• Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.

• Adaptability to evolving technologies and security threats.

This position has a starting salary range of $91,200.00 to $118,600.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive.
