Job Description:

Location: TJ Maxx

Job Type: Part-Time / Temporary or Regular (as applicable)

Shift: 4-hour shifts | Start time 5:00 AM or 7:00 AM

Job Summary

The Janitorial Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized store environment for customers and associates. This role supports daily store operations by ensuring company cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms
• Clean associate breakroom and backroom areas
• Sweep, mop, and maintain sales floor cleanliness
• Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
• Follow company safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals
• Complete assigned cleaning tasks within designated timeframes

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently
• Attention to detail
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Prior janitorial experience preferred but not required

Work Environment

• Early morning shifts before store opening
• Fast-paced retail environment
