What you’ll do

As a Senior Staff Engineer in Wintel Engineering, you will lead the design, implementation, and evolution of server and endpoint platforms across the enterprise. You’ll own large-scale initiatives involving firmware, operating systems, and remote management technologies, guiding other engineers and setting technical direction. You’ll be responsible for deep troubleshooting, platform architecture, and driving innovation in compute infrastructure.

What you’ll need

We value engineers who combine deep technical expertise with leadership and vision. You should be comfortable owning major initiatives, mentoring others, and driving continuous improvement across platforms and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering efforts for server and endpoint platforms, including firmware lifecycle, remote management, and OS configuration

• Architect and implement solutions using Microsoft Active Directory and PowerShell for automation and policy enforcement

• Own deep troubleshooting of escalated issues across hardware, firmware, and operating systems

• Guide platform strategy for Microsoft operating systems across servers and endpoints

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and support teams to ensure platform reliability and compliance

• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical growth across the team

• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead proof-of-concept initiatives

• Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, security policies, and operational excellence

Primary expertise required:

• Microsoft Active Directory architecture and policy design

• PowerShell scripting for automation and diagnostics

• Server firmware engineering, including lifecycle management and remote tools (e.g., iLO, iDRAC)

• Endpoint firmware engineering, including BIOS/UEFI configuration and remote management

• Microsoft operating systems (Windows Server and Windows client platforms)

• Git or other version control familiarity

Additional expertise helpful:

• Packer

• Ansible

• CI/CD
