Job Description:
Senior Financial Analyst, Marmaxx Stock Ledger
The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.
The Marmaxx Stock Ledger team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of sales and inventory levels. The team provides support to our cross-functional business partners via reporting and analysis to optimize strategic decisions. This position will perform extensive shrink (merchandise loss) analysis to produce actionable data to mitigate losses and improve profitability.
Your Impact:
- Lead analysis on strategy projects for TJ Maxx and Marshalls to provide actionable recommendations that support the organization’s goals
- Develop shrink forecasts for TJ Maxx and Marshalls by evaluating statistical correlations of key retail metrics. Utilize forecasting to proactively identify and address any areas of risk to reduce shrink and improve profitability.
- Collaborate with Loss Prevention & Store Operations on shrink initiatives to be rolled out to stores to mitigate future inventory loss.
- Perform ROI analyses to validate potential savings from initiatives.
- Participate in year-end shrink analysis including forecasting shrink by merchandise type as well as providing summaries on Store & Distribution Center shrink performance.
- Prepare and fully own executive ready presentations and Present analysis results across all levels of management, including key members of Finance, Operating Groups, and C level management
- Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement and efficiency.
- Work on various ad-hoc analysis to drive profitability
Who We Are Looking For: You.
- 2-4 years of experience working in an analysis and/or finance environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics or relevant field
- Excellent attention to detail while ensuring reasonability and adhering to tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills with an ability to obtain and analyze information and draw business solutions
- Able to concisely and effectively deliver insights and results to management
- High level of curiosity to explore, learn and understand business information
- Strong sense of urgency around delivery of reports and deadlines
- Self-starter with high level of time management skills and ability to prioritize individual workload
- Proficient PC skills: Microsoft Office Excel (pivot tables, function logic, and lookup/reference formulas and charts); Monarch; Cognos or other data applications a plus
- Power BI raw data preparation & dashboard building experience a plus

This position has a starting salary range of $83,100.00 to $106,000.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive.
