About the Team:

The Global Consumer marketing team helps ensure we're delivering on this mission through all our marketing and communication efforts, helping set the brand tone through constant marketing innovation across advertising, digital engagement, and social storytelling.

We are looking for the Head of Consumer Marketing, Japan. This is a critical role that will focus on setting our global marketing strategies and local execution plans, and continuously build the branding equity and trust with our users/non-users in the Japan market.

The Tik Tok Consumer Marketing team is a diverse group of innovative and passionate professionals driven by creativity and collaboration. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Japan marketing strategies and campaigns to increase brand metrics among non-users and current users.
  • Lead the local marketing campaigns and initiatives end-to-end execution, including project plan, cross-function alignment, and success measurement (using analytics and data to track key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement).
  • Define the project plan, campaign objectives based on data, target audience and size, main KPIs, core narrative, estimated budget, previous insights, among other definitions. Provide direction to different teams: media, creative, strategy and analytics, social, and communications. Act as a maestro, orchestrating all components of the overall campaign.
  • Manage overall campaigns: timelines, resources, define roles and responsibilities among teams, communicate campaign progress, define measurement plan, share learnings, among others.
  • Be able to influence cross-functional teams, effectively drive the collective efforts and impact metrics when managing large-scale campaigns and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Related experience in marketing strategy, brand strategy, brand reputation, diversity projects, partnership, or co-branding;
  • Strong analytical skills and being able to analyze data to measure the success of marketing campaigns.
  • Highly motivated and result-oriented self-starter. With the capability to tolerate the high speed and pressure working load and intent to ask for chasing the high performance.
  • Strong background in project management and cross-markets collaboration with a global team.
  • Experience leading and managing cross-functional projects, budgets, and timelines, and being able to motivate and inspire with their projects (including agencies)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills (both English and Japanese), including a strong ability to present ideas as this role will be liaising with both local and global stakeholders.
  • Relevant experience in tech & international companies preferred.
  • Experience in marketing techniques such as traditional media (TV and Print, OOH in Japan) social media, paid media, influencer, and measurement.
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Capability and strong resilience to make tough decisions under a challenging environment.
