About the Role

The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated. We aim to bring discovery, inspiration, and joy back to shopping by making Tik Tok the commerce channel of choice for merchants, creators, and affiliates. We are looking for passionate and talented people to join our product and operations team, to build an e-commerce ecosystem that is innovative, secure and intuitive for our users and brands.

About the Team

The Trading Center team is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of core systems related to international e-commerce transactions. The team works on various essential aspects, including shopping cart functionalities, order processing, after-sales support, and customer service experience. They also focus on optimizing system architecture to enhance scalability and robustness, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery for a global infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to deliver high quality work in rapid product development.
• Responsible for designing/architecting the solution and providing technical support for engineers in the team.
• Align with product and org objectives, and coordinate with cross-functional teams on delivering key results.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Final year or recent graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Coding experience with a general purpose programming language (ie. Java, C/C++, Go, Python).
• Demonstrated knowledge of Redis/MySQL/Elasticsearch/Druid/Spark Streaming.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on distributed cloud services.
• Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and their time and space performance.
