As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests.

Responsibilities:

• Build AI agents for e-commerce platform governance. Design, develop and optimise LLM-powered agents for risk detection, risk assessment, appeal handling, root cause analysis, automated moderation and case investigation.
• Build multi-agent systems and end-to-end workflows. Create and maintain a framework for coordinating multiple agents, covering the full governance lifecycle from task triggering, feature retrieval and strategy evaluation through enforcement and appeals, integrated with internal governance platforms.
• Support the design and optimization of creator and MCN onboarding governance frameworks and operational processes.
• Conduct end-to-end dogfooding of creator onboarding journeys to identify potential friction points, policy gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Build and maintain monitoring dashboards and perform root cause analyses (RCAs) on operational and ecosystem issues to improve efficiency and platform health.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with relevant teams to identify and mitigate abusive behaviour across the Tik Tok Shop ecosystem, which could manifest through creators and their content.
• Analyze creator metrics, generating insights to support governance decision making and process improvement.
• Review effectiveness and coverage of creator educational tools to enhance creator experience.
• Support the drafting of governance strategies and external education materials.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualification(s):

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
• Familiarity with leading large language models (e.g., GPT, Claude, Llama) and their APIs, with hands-on experience in prompt engineering and AI Agent development.
• Experience with LLM tool calling, Agent task decomposition, and multi-Agent system design is a must.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of curiosity, critical thinking, and ability to work independently and follow through on investigative tasks.
• Comfortable working with data to identify trends, investigate issues, and generate actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualification(s):

• Understanding of e-commerce platform governance processes, including risk detection, content moderation, appeals, case review, and root cause analysis. Relevant project experience is preferred.
• Prior internship, academic, or project experience in e-commerce, technology, operations, trust & safety, governance, risk, or policy-related domains.
• Familiarity with creator platforms, e-commerce, or prior exposure as an online seller or content creator.
• Interest in platform governance, risk management, or operational policy.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and/or SQL is preferred.
