Responsibilities
Tik Tok's Data Scientist team is a critical component of the platform's success, responsible for leveraging data to enhance user experience, optimize content delivery, and drive business decisions. As a leading social media app known for its short-form video content, Tik Tok relies heavily on data science to stay ahead in a competitive market.
As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests.

Join our Data Science team to support content safety for a global platform. As an intern, you will work on real-world Trust & Safety problems and learn how data analysis informs responsible platform decisions at scale.
- Support data analysis related to content violations, user feedback, and account risk
- Assist in maintaining core metrics, dashboards, and basic monitoring, and help with preliminary issue investigation
- Participate in experiment analysis (e.g., A/B testing) and policy or strategy evaluation under guidance
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify risk patterns and potential optimization opportunities
- Develop automated solutions to accelerate insight generation and improve analysis efficiency
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Strong Python programming skills, with experience in data analysis or modeling
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree or in the final year of a Bachelor's degree
- Able to commit at least 3 days per week, Minimum commitment of 3 months; 6 months preferred
