Solution Consultant, Checkpoint and Co Counsel Tax
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Solution Consultant to drive the adoption and success of our Checkpoint and Co Counsel Tax solutions. This role is pivotal in demonstrating the value of our products to clients, guiding them through the sales process, and fostering strong, lasting relationships.
About the Role
As a Solutions Consultant specializing in Checkpoint and Co Counsel Tax, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle. You will partner with sales, product, go-to-market, and customer success teams to deliver tailored demonstrations, uncover customer requirements, and articulate the value of our Thomson Reuters Global Trade solutions. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep domain expertise and a passion for solving complex trade and compliance challenges.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs and present tailored solutions for Checkpoint and Co Counsel Tax.
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations, effectively articulating the product proposition and delivering value to prospective and existing clients.
- Utilize strong communication and professional presentation skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Guide clients through the sales process, actively participating in deal closing and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Support RFP responses
- Identify and understand client business processes to effectively position our solutions and address their pain points.
- Leverage sales technology and web-based technology to enhance sales efficiency and client engagement.
- Proactively identify and resolve client problems, acting as a solution-oriented expert.
- Build and nurture strong, trusted relationships with clients, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Contribute to marketing efforts by providing product insights and client feedback.
- Contribute presales assets by building and maintaining recorded demonstrations in our Consensus platform
- Actively seek out and embrace new challenges to continuously improve product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Solutions Consultant if your background includes:
- Proven experience in a Solution Consultant, Sales Engineer, or similar client-facing role.
- Experience with Checkpoint Tax Research platforms
- Strong understanding of tax and accounting principles, with experience utilizing tax research and/or AI-powered legal research platforms (e.g., Checkpoint, Co Counsel Tax) highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver value and drive deal closing.
- Proficiency in understanding and analyzing client business processes and Corporate Tax functions.
- A solution-oriented mindset with excellent problem resolution skills.
- Experience with CRM software and other sales technology tools.
- Familiarity with web-based technologies and their application in business solutions.
- Strong relationship building and stakeholder management capabilities.
- A proactive and adaptable individual who thrives on new challenges.

Compensation
Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $106,400 USD - $197,600 USD.
For Ontario, Canada, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $135,000 CAD - $185,000 CAD.
Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive.
