As a U.S. Tax Reviewer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of federal, states and local income tax returns for business entities including Form 1065, 1120S and 1120. This position requires a strong understanding of U.S. tax laws, attention to detail, and the ability to manage and mentor a team of tax preparers. You will be responsible for upholding client-specific requirements, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the tax review process.
About the Role
In this role as a Senior Tax Specialist (Tax Reviewer), you will be responsible for
Tax Review & Compliance

Detailed review of federal, state and local income tax returns ensuring calculations, accounting theory, and tax law compliance, particularly focusing on Form 1065, Form 1120S, and Form 1120.

Review the various workpapers prepared by preparer for its accuracy.

Provide technical guidance and support to tax preparers, especially on complex or challenging issues.

Conduct induction and ongoing training sessions, including updates on tax laws and software changes.
Work Allocation & Monitoring

Assign daily tasks to preparers and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.

Follow up on pending work and assist in resolving bottlenecks.
Client Deliverables
-
Submit completed tax returns and related documentation within scheduled timelines.

Review and incorporate client feedback, make necessary modifications, and re-submit promptly.
Project Execution
-
Contribute to various organizational projects as per business requirements.

Adapt quickly to changes in client policies, procedures, and software updates, and communicate these effectively to the team.
Quality & Compliance
-
Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Ensure strict compliance with information security protocols and data protection guidelines.
About You:
You’re a fit for the role of Senior Tax Specialist (Tax Reviewer), if you have:
-
4 to 6 years of experience in U.S. taxation
-
In-depth knowledge of U.S. tax forms, including Form 1065, 1120S and 1120.

Demonstrates strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to develop and manage diverse workpapers efficiently.

Strong understanding of tax concepts, industry practices, and procedures.
-
Proven ability to plan and accomplish goals using sound judgment and prior experience.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Proficiency in tax software such as Go System, CCH Axcess, Ultra Tax, and Lacerte.

Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.

Effective time management and organizational abilities

You are comfortable working in 8:30 am to 5:30 PM IST shift timings. Working days will be Monday to Friday but during the tax season you are required to work Monday to Saturday, and shift may change basis the business requirement.
