DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a Laboratory Supervisor at Thermo Fisher Scientific to guide and support a team of laboratory technicians in GLP/GCP processing and analysis of clinical samples. In this key role, you'll promote operational excellence through effective team management, quality assurance, and process improvement initiatives. You'll be responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, managing equipment maintenance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing new technologies and procedures. Your leadership will help maintain high standards of sample quality, support team development, and coordinate with multiple business functions to achieve operational goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or research laboratory setting
- Preferred Fields of Study: scientific field
- GLP/GCP laboratory experience
- Prior supervisory experience (1 years preferred)
- Expertise in core technologies including DNA/RNA extraction, NGS, PBMC isolation, Array technologies, and process automation
- BSL2 Laboratory experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Share Point, Visio)
- Strong project management and resource allocation skills
- Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration procedures
- Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements
- Ability to lead investigations and implement corrective actions
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities
