DESCRIPTION:
Join our innovative team as a Senior Developer and make a meaningful impact on global science and healthcare. In this role, you will lead the design and development of scalable, enterprise-grade applications using the Out Systems Low-Code Platform, enabling faster delivery of high-quality solutions that improve health and environmental outcomes worldwide.
You will work in an agile, collaborative environment, building and optimizing mission-critical applications that integrate with cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and modern APIs. Leveraging Out Systems’ low-code capabilities alongside custom code when needed, you’ll help modernize business processes, accelerate digital transformation, and establish best practices for low-code development excellence.
You’ll take ownership of the full application lifecycle—from requirements gathering and solution design to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement—while mentoring other developers and driving innovation across the platform. Your work will directly support essential operations and help shape the future of scientific technology in service of science.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using the Out Systems Low-Code Platform

Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions leveraging Out Systems architecture patterns

Build and integrate REST/SOAP APIs, external services, and enterprise systems

Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams in an agile environment

Implement best practices for Out Systems development, performance tuning, security, and reusability

Manage application lifecycle using CI/CD pipelines, environment promotion, and version control

Troubleshoot, optimize, and refactor applications for performance and maintainability
-
Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across low-code initiatives

Contribute to modernization efforts including cloud, data integration, and AI-enabled features
Requirements
-
Advanced Degree with 6 years of experience, or bachelor’s degree with 8 years of software development experience

Preferred fields: Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical discipline

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with the Out Systems Low-Code Platform (Web & Reactive applications)

Experience with Out Systems architecture, integrations, data modeling, and performance optimization

Proficiency in JavaScript and experience extending Out Systems with custom code

Experience integrating with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure
-
Strong background in databases and data modeling (SQL; familiarity with NoSQL is a plus)

Expertise in API development and integration (REST, SOAP, microservices)

Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and release management
-
Solid understanding of agile development methodologies

Experience integrating with enterprise systems (e.g., Service Now, ERP, custom back-end services)

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills in distributed teams

Experience guiding, mentoring, and supporting other developers

Familiarity with AI/ML integrations or intelligent automation is a plus

Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements

Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex solutions

Out Systems certifications (Associate, Professional, or Expert) are a plus
